Running along the Atlantic Ocean! Jogging does so much more than keep me in shape after long hours sitting at the computer while writing. The exertion raises my energy level so high, it releases amazing creative energy in my brain. While I’m running I can literally hear and see ideas “pop!” and “splash” into my mind. So I hurry home, sit down and pound them all out on the computer. Once your body gets into a rhythm, running to me is almost like meditation--it creates this awesome connection between mind, body and spirit.



I love this picture of me riding my bike at our cottage up North. Tanned, toned, and strong, I'm about to lose my balance, maybe even fall into the sand... but I'm smiling, amused, confident that I'll catch myself, straighten up quickly, and ride... That's symbolic of how I view life: we can tumble, even fall down hard, but with a positive attitude - loving the journey's peaks and valleys - it's easy to steady ourselves and get right back on course, ever wiser and stronger! Go for it!
